Our History
The Edmond Flour Mill, Oklahoma’s first grain elevator and mill, has been a promident fixture in the city since 1891. In 1922, a group of farmers formed a corporation and opened as Farmer's Grain Company. After a fire destroyed the elevator in 1949, the elevator was rebuilt and remains standing to this day. The property was designated a historic landmark by the Edmond Historical Society in 1993 and is an iconic focal point for the Edmond community. As a family owned company, The Silos, at Farmer's Grain and the Farmer's Grain Kitchen + Cellar have embraced the historical significance of the property and continue the legacy of service to the community.
